This is the title of my e-book, to be available very soon.

If you:

  • need a job (recent graduate; returning to workforce after a period; seeking part-time work)
  • are unhappy and want a new job or career
  • lost your job due to the pandemic
  • feel lost (your entire industry disappeared; did work that you hated)

This personalized guide can help you.

Work is an important and involves much of your waking hours. Therefore, doing work that you enjoy is critical to reducing stress and enhancing your wellbeing.

Here's how the S.P.I.E.S. model in this career guide can help you:

S.P.I.E.S. is a model created to help you access and see clearly the different parts of yourself as they pertain to your strengths, interests and preferences related to work.  This valuable information enables you to create your specific path to a "right fit" job that aligns with your happiness and promotes success.

By using the tools in this guide, you will explore each of your S.P.I.E.S., as follows:

S    Spiritual:

  •        What work aligns with your passion?
  •        What is the purpose you wish work to serve?

    •  Financial compensation (salary needs; bonus; stock shares; awards, etc.)
    •  Benefits: (health insurance; vacation time; sick leave; comp time; parking space,
    •  Where / Location: (in person; virtual; hybrid; commuting distance; indoors vs. outdoors;      travel involved; own office; cubicle, etc.)

I      Intellectual:

  •         What are the skills you possess in order to do the work you want?
  •         What level of experience, education and expertise do you possess?

E    Emotional:

  •        What are your personality traits that are important in the work you desire?
  •         What are the emotional experiences you wish to have in your work?

S    Social:

  •       What are your interpersonal skills that enable you to do the work you seek?
  •       In what ways do you prefer to work with others (working solo; team work; leading or                    managing others; being managed by others, etc.)
  •       What type of general interpersonal atmosphere do you seek at work (warm with                              high engagement; relaxed and fun; highly structured and with little social engagement, etc.)?
